Preparing To Receive Congregants, Ministry Of Religion Implements Prokes At Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) continues to make preparations even though to this day the Saudi Arabian government has not submitted official information regarding the technical implementation of the 1442H/2021M Hajj. One of the preparations made is the preparation of the Hajj dormitory in Pondok Gede, Jakarta.
"That we, the Ministry of Religion, in particular the Directorate General of PHU, are ready to carry out whatever decisions the government will make today," said the Acting Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization Khoirizi, Thursday, June 3.
"I make sure, 13 embarkations throughout Indonesia are ready to accept Hajj pilgrims. Because the procedures are all the same, if they don't make preparations, there will be sanctions," he continued.
Meanwhile, Head of UPT Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta, Dasrul El Hakim, said that a number of mitigations had been carried out to prepare for the arrival of prospective pilgrims.
"We have prepared 10 lodging buildings. And one of them we have prepared specifically to be used for prospective pilgrims who are indicated by COVID-19," said Dasrul.
"The position is in Building A, which is at the very back of the Jakarta Hajj Dormitory complex," he added.
Dasrul also revealed, to ensure that the condition of the building is safe for the congregation, the board of the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory has also been spraying disinfectants regularly.
"We also adjust the room capacity according to the provisions of the health protocol. That is 50 percent. So we fill each room with two people," he explained.
In addition, Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory is also equipped with hand washing facilities and hand sanitizers, as well as automatic body temperature measuring devices in front of the building.
There are also appeals to maintain health protocols around buildings such as the Al-Mabrur Mosque, Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory Complex.
