KPK Finds Vehicles and Electronic Evidence During OTT for Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed a number of findings obtained by investigators during a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that dragged Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. Among them are vehicles to electronic evidence.

"Some of these evidence are still in progress. Because this team is moving from Pekalongan to Jakarta," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday night, March 3.

Budi did not elaborate on the vehicle that was found. "We will update later," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the money found, Budi did not say much. He just said that checks would be made.

The silent operation is said to be related to the procurement of outsourcing in the Pekalongan Regency Government environment. It is suspected that there is a conditioning effort.

"There are a number of procurements that have indeed been carried out in the Pekalongan Regency Government departments whose processes are suspected to have been regulated, conditioned," he explained.

"So that certain vendors or companies can enter and win to deliver goods and services in the Pekalongan Regency Government. Including outsourcing procurement, procurement of support personnel for management," continued Budi.

Until now, the KPK has revealed that there are 14 people who have been secured in addition to Fadia Arafiq. One of them is the Regent of Pekalongan Regency, H. M. Yulian Akbar.

Fadia was secured with his aides and trusted people in Semarang City, Central Java. Meanwhile, the other 11, including H. M. Yulian Akbar with the ASN Pemkab Pekalongan are on their way to the KPK office.

The fate of Fadia and dozens of these people will then be determined through a forum for the title of the case or an expose of the joint leadership of the prosecution and execution. The official announcement of the suspects and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference.
