Second Batch of OTT Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq: KPK secures 11 people, one of them the Secretary of the Regional Secretary

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has secured 11 people in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that first ensnared Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. One of them is H. M. Yulian Akbar as the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Pekalongan Regency.

"Of the 11 people who were brought to Jakarta tonight, there were ASN elements in the Pemkab Pekalongan and also a number of private parties. One of them is the Secretary of State," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 3.

The total number of parties secured by the KPK to date has reached 14 people, including Fadia who is undergoing intensive examination.

"The current examination is still ongoing and will be exposed to determine the legal status of the parties who were secured," said Budi.

The KPK previously said that it also examined a number of parties in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq was taken by officers while in Semarang City, Central Java, with his confidants and aides.

Until now, the KPK has not detailed the alleged corruption case that led to the silent operation. However, it was mentioned that it was related to procurement.
