Israel Admits Its Fighter Jet Attacked and Damaged IRIB TV Station in Iran

JAKARTA - The Israeli army admitted that it had carried out an attack on the building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) television station in Iran.

Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday 3 March that the Israeli army said the target against the media or journalistic element was carried out by the Israeli Air Force under the direction of its intelligence.

Israeli fighter jets dropped dozens of munitions and destroyed a building belonging to Channel 2 in the IRIB complex in Tehran, on Sunday, March 1.

IRIB has stated that it is the target of an attack. However, the television channel is still broadcasting.

Israel calls the broadcaster a "communications center".

According to the humanitarian organization Red Crescent, the US-Israeli joint attack has killed at least 555 people in Iran since it began last Saturday.
