Lighter, Rizieq Shihab's Son-in-law Sued Two Years In Prison In The UMMI Hospital Case Kasus
JAKARTA - The public prosecutor (JPU) has charged Hanif Alatas, who is also Rizieq Shihab's son-in-law, with a sentence of two years in prison. Hanif was judged guilty and convincingly guilty of committing a crime in the case of the results of the swab test at the UMMI Bogor Hospital.
"Imposing a prison sentence for the defendant Hanif Alatas for 2 years," said the prosecutor at the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday, June 3.
In his demands, the prosecutor also considered aggravating and mitigating factors. The thing that weighs on Hanif is not supporting the government's program to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, in terms of mitigating, Hanif is still considered young. So, they can improve their behavior.
Prosecutors said Hanif would serve his sentence after the judge's decision. Hanif's sentence was reduced by the period of detention he had served.
In his charge, the Prosecutor also assessed that Hanif Alatas was proven to have violated Article 14 paragraphs (1) and (2) and Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning the Criminal Law Regulations jucto article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.
"The defendant Hanif Alatas has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of participating in his act of broadcasting or spreading false news that caused trouble," said the prosecutor.
Hanif's demands are lighter than those of Rizieq Shihab's father-in-law. Where in the same case Rizieq Shihab was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
He was declared legally to have spread false information or news about his health condition that was exposed to COVID-19.
