Head of BGN: I'm Happy People Post MBG Menu on Social Media, it's Joint Supervision
JAKARTA - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana emphasized that his party had never prohibited the public, including parents of students, from uploading the menu of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) on social media (social media).
The clarification was conveyed by Dadan following the circulation of incorrect information that said BGN would harm the public with the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (ITE) if they uploaded the MBG menu.
"I am even happy if everyone posts the MBG menu on social media, because it is part of joint supervision," said Dadan as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 3.
He ensured that the circulating narrative never came out of his statement or the institution's official policy. Dadan assessed that the information had created misunderstanding among the public and needed to be immediately straightened out.
According to Dadan, public participation in documenting and sharing the menu received by students actually helps BGN in overseeing the quality of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) services in various regions, because transparency is an important element in ensuring that the quality standards of the program are maintained.
"Community uploads make it easier for us at the BGN center to see the quality of SPPG services. That is direct input for us to evaluate," he said.
Dadan also emphasized that he personally had never made a criminal threat against parents or any party who shared information related to the MBG menu. He urged the public not to easily believe in pieces of information that are unclear about their sources.
"So, I personally never talked like that. There is no BGN policy that prohibits people from posting MBG menus," said Dadan.
