KPK Says OTT Pekalongan Regent Fadia A. Rafiq Related to Procurement of

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that ensnared Pekalongan Regent Fadia A. Rafiq was allegedly related to the procurement process. However, there is no detailed information that can be conveyed by KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo.

"The suspected criminal act of corruption in this case is related to procurement in the Pekalongan Regency," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 3.

Budi further said that Fadia A. Rafiq was arrested in a silent operation with two other people, "who are trusted people and also aides of the regent," he said.

Fadia along with the other two people are already at the KPK office. They are being intensively examined after arriving this morning.

"And parallel to that, the team is currently also in Pekalongan," said Budi.

The presence of the team in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java, was said by Budi to seek information from other parties.

"Then we also want to convey that the team is still continuing to search for other related parties," he said.

"And we appeal to the parties concerned to be cooperative so that they can help in the process of handling this case, so that the process of handling the case, which is currently in the investigation stage, can run effectively," concluded Budi.
