What does this update bring?
As with most security patches, the February 2026 update does not bring new features. However, this update fixes a total of 37 security holes, consisting of 25 fixes from Google and 12 special fixes from Samsung.
Samsung's specific fixes include vulnerabilities in the Emergency Sharing feature, Knox Guard Manager, the Samsung Dialer app, the Settings app, the face and fingerprint authentication system, and the PACM module.
In addition to the security patch, Samsung is also preparing to launch One UI 8.5 for old Galaxy devices, which previously debuted with the Galaxy S26 series.
With the arrival of this latest patch, Samsung has strengthened the security of Galaxy devices while maintaining its commitment to providing regular updates for users.
