Iranian Revolutionary Guards threaten to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz to oil pipelines

JAKARTA - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) threatened to attack and burn ships attempting to cross the closed Hormuzyang Strait.

Brigadier General Ebrahim Jabbari, a senior adviser to the IRGC's supreme commander, said Iran closed traffic on the strategic shipping lane in response to the US-Israeli joint attack.

"The Strait of Hormuz has been closed. We will attack and burn any ship that tries to cross," Jabbar said in a statement broadcast on Iranian state television, Monday, March 2, reported by ANTARA from Anadolu.

He also warned oil pipelines could be targets and Iran would not allow "a single drop of oil" to leave the region.
