KPK Holds OTT in Pekalongan Regency, Regent Fadia A. Rafiq Arrested

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in the Pekalongan Regency area, Central Java. Pekalongan Regent Fadia A. Rafiq was also secured in this activity.

"In this closed investigation activity, the team secured a number of parties in the Pekalongan area, Central Java, one of which was the Regent," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement, Wednesday, March 3.

Budi did not elaborate on the silent operation. He only said that the person who was secured had been taken to Jakarta and on the way to the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"The team then took him to Jakarta for further examination," he said.

After holding an OTT, the KPK has 1x24 hours to examine the parties who have been secured. The announcement of the suspects and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference.
