Kajati Responds to the Demand of 15 Legislators Who Received Bribes 3 NTB DPRD Members Asked to Be Suspects

JAKARTA - The Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Wahyudi admitted that the development of the NTB Provincial DPRD gratification case towards the bribe recipient was still waiting for new facts to be revealed in the trial of three defendants from among legislators.

"We are still waiting (for the facts of the trial). This (trial) is still (going on). Therefore, we will see later," said Wahyudi in Mataram, Monday, quoted by Antara.

He ensured that his party had not taken any legal steps to see the criminal element from the bribe recipients.

"There is also no new sprindik (investigation order). Later, there is a strategy," he said.

Regarding the report regarding the request from the community group for law enforcement officers to drag the bribe recipients as suspects, the NTB Kajati admitted that he had not received the information.

"Yes, if there is, then the investigators will examine to see how far and what kind of action will be taken on the report," he said.

The NTB DPRD gratification case, which named three legislators as suspects, namely Hamdan Kasim, Indra Jaya Usman, and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman, has just begun to be tried at the Corruption Crime Court at the Mataram District Court, Friday, February 27.

In the first hearing with the agenda of reading the indictment, the public prosecutor said that there were 15 legislators who received bribes from the three defendants with a total value of Rp. 2.6 billion.

By revealing the names of the bribe recipients and the modus operandi for handing over money from dozens of legislators, they are now on the list of witnesses who will attend the trial.
