ART was abused by her employer in a luxurious house in Sunter area

JAKARTA - A domestic helper (ART) became a victim of abuse by his employer while working in a house in the Sunter Agung area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

The incident was recorded on the CCTV camera at the perpetrator's house. In the recording, the victim found a number of tortures ranging from being hit with a belt buckle, beaten to being kicked by several of his employers.

In the first CCTV footage, the victim was approached by a male employer who was carrying a belt buckle and then hit repeatedly. Then in another CCTV video clip, the victim was also beaten by another employer.

Furthermore, the victim was also abused by being kicked inside the house. Ironically, this act of violence against ART has often occurred in the perpetrator's house.

Head of the North Jakarta Metro Police's Women and Children Protection (PPA), Kompol Ni Luh Sri Arsini, confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, this case of abuse is handled by the PPA Unit of North Jakarta Police.
