United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain said their air defense systems had intercepted a large number of Iranian drones and ballistic missiles since the start of the attack.

As reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, March 2, the UAE Ministry of Defense said that 541 drones were detected, with 506 successfully destroyed and 35 others falling within the country's territory. It is said that 165 Iranian ballistic missiles were monitored, with 152 of them successfully intercepted, while 13 others fell into the sea.

Regional tensions escalated on Saturday (28/2) after the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran, which killed a number of senior Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran then retaliated with a series of drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, US assets, and a number of Gulf countries.
