Late Catherine O'Hara Wins 2026 Actor Awards, Represented by Seth Rogen
JAKARTA - Late actor Catherine O'Hara received the 2026 Actor Awards. She won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series category thanks to her acting in the series The Studio.
O'Hara died in January from illness. He died at the age of 71 in the midst of his acting.
Held on Sunday, March 1, US time, Seth Rogen, who played O'Hara's opponent, took to the stage to accept the award on behalf of the actor.
"I know she (Catherine O'Hara) will be honored to receive this award from her fellow nominees, whom I know she respects, she is a fan of all of you," said Seth Rogen.
"I clearly reflect on the time when I was lucky enough to spend time with him, working, and something that has amazed me over the past few weeks is his ability to be generous, kind, and friendly without underestimating his own talent," he said.
Seth Rogen also explained that without the knowledge of other The Studio series players, Catherine O'Hara often sent emails to Rogen as the creator of the series. The email sent contains improvements to the scene he did.
"100% every time, not only making the character better but it makes the scene better and the series as a whole. And he shows the genius and the good side," said Seth Rogen.
In The Studio series, Catherine O'Hara plays producer Patty Leigh. She competes with Kathryn Hahn, Jenna Ortega, Jean Smart, and Kristen Wiig in the nomination.
In addition to the Actor Awards, O'Hara also received nominations in the Emmy and Golden Globe awards thanks to the series. Previously, he won this award for the series Schitt's Creek in 2021.
