Watch Jazz Ngabuburit, Minister of Culture Fadli Ingatkan Legendary Musician Jangan Dibiarkan Sendiri
JAKARTA - On the stage of Jazz Ngabuburit with The Composer 2026, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon did not just watch a mini concert. He emphasized that legendary musicians must continue to be given space to stay healthy and productive, because their works have become part of the collective memory of Indonesian music.
Fadli was present at the Grand Manhattan Club Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, Saturday (28/2), in an event that brought the public together with senior musicians and young generations while waiting for the time to break the fast. One of the performers that night was Fariz RM.
"I just watched Jazz Ngabuburit with The Composer 2026 with one of the performers being Mas Fariz RM. Hopefully these legendary musicians can continue to work, be healthy, and always give inspiration, especially in the world of music. Because his works have become legends," said Fadli.
He assessed that the dedication and consistency of senior musicians needed to continue to be appreciated, as well as serve as a reference for the younger generation. According to Fadli, the long experience of legendary composers and musicians is an important capital to maintain the sustainability of the national music ecosystem.
"We can see that the songs created by these legendary musicians show how great their contribution to the Indonesian music world is. We need their experiences, especially for the younger generation. This is important for us to continue to appreciate as part of the long journey of Indonesian music," he said.
Carrying the concept of The Composer, this event presents the collaboration of maestros on one stage as a tribute to the works and contributions of national music people. A number of musicians who performed include Reika Roslan, Dea Mirella, and Andre Hehanusa, along with other musicians.
Apart from musical performances, the committee invited orphans to break their fast together as part of the Ramadan social agenda. Expert Staff to the Minister, Neno Warisman, was also present at the event.
