85 SD Students Shajareh Tayyebeh Putri Died Due to Israeli Attack
JAKARTA - The number of deaths among students at the Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls' Special Elementary School in Minab City, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, has risen to 85, Tasnim News Agency reported on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Earlier on the same day, the United States and Israel launched a series of attacks on a number of targets in Iran, including in Tehran. The attacks caused damage and civilian casualties.
Citing ANTARA, Sunday, March 1, Iran launched a missile attack on Israeli territory and also targeted US military infrastructure in the Middle East region, in response.
A representative of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that Israel "miscalculated" by attacking Iran.
Citing a statement from the Iranian Ministry of Education, the ISNA news agency reported that schools in Iran had been closed or temporarily switched to online learning amid US and Israeli attacks.
