Israel Launches Preemptive Attack on Iran, Here's the Reason

JAKARTA - Israel launched a "preemptive" attack on Iran and declared a state of emergency throughout its territory, the Israeli Defense Ministry said on Saturday (28/2).

"Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran to eliminate the threat to the country," the ministry said in a press release.

In connection with this, Israel estimates that there will be a retaliatory attack using missiles and drones, the ministry added.

"In accordance with his authority and based on the Civil Defense Law, the head of the Israeli Defense Forces Katz signed a special order declaring a state of emergency throughout Israel," the ministry said.

Meanwhile, on the same day, air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv for the first time in a long time, and people were ordered to take shelter in shelters, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

The Israeli Home Front Command sent a message to everyone in the country, urging everyone to stay near shelters given the current security situation.
