Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration Prepares National Vocational Training Quota 2026 Batch 1 for 20,000 People
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has presented the 2026 National Vocational Training Program. This program is an effort by the government to increase the competence of the workforce, productivity, discipline, attitude, and work ethic of the community, both to enter the world of work and to be entrepreneurs.
Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, said that in the National Vocational Training Batch 1, the Ministry of Manpower prepared 20,000 quota participants. Overall, this program is targeted to benefit more than 70,000 participants through three training batches
"The 2026 National Vocational Training is carried out simultaneously at 21 Vocational Training and Productivity Center (BPVP) and 13 Service Units (Satpel) of the Ministry of Manpower throughout Indonesia," said Yassierli, quoted on Saturday, February 28.
He explained that this program is open to people aged 17 years and above and have an account on the SIAPkerja platform. For Batch 1, the program is prioritized for graduates of SMA/SMK/MA equivalent years 2023 to 2025. This policy is designed to answer the specific needs of the labor market while ensuring the effectiveness of the program for priority target groups.
"Our hope is that this program can be optimized. So, in addition to the National Internship Program for college graduates, we also provide an alternative program for high school/vocational school graduates," he added.
Registration for Batch 1 is carried out through the skillhub.kemnaker.go.id page from February 23 to March 6, 2026. Participant selection takes place on March 9-15, 2026, the announcement of the selection results on March 16, 2026, and training begins on April 1, 2026.
In Batch 1, the available vocational fields include Information and Communication Technology (ICT), entrepreneurship, manufacturing, automotive, tourism, and construction. Meanwhile, the training programs offered include Internet of Things (IoT), solar panel installation, welding, operation of CNC machines, industrial automation, electric vehicles, cyber security, digital marketing, smart farming, to industrial food processing.
Participants in the National Vocational Training will receive various facilities, including free training and lunch, transportation money assistance, protection of Occupational Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Insurance (JKM) through BPJS Employment, training certificates from BPVP, and Competency Certificates from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Dormitory facilities are also available according to criteria and availability.
