Ahead of the 2026 Lebaran Homecoming, the Government is Busy Repairing Potholed Roads on the Pantura Route
Jakarta - Entering the second week of Ramadan, the government has accelerated the repair of damaged and potholed roads to ensure that during the 2026 Eid homecoming rush, the homecoming journey can take place safely and comfortably.
Currently, the main routes of the homecoming are the priority handling of the Ministry of Public Works (PU). One of the main focuses is the North Coast (Pantura) route of Java which every year becomes the main route for travelers. This work is part of the preparation of the Lebaran 2026 route with the ambitious target of H-10 "Zero Potholes" or free of holes.
The government wants to ensure that the road conditions are in good condition before the peak of the homecoming rush occurs. On the pantura route, road repairs were also carried out at the Cilamaya Bridge. The bridge, which is located in Subang Regency, West Java, is one of the crucial knots for heavy vehicle traffic and private vehicles.
According to the Ministry of PU officers in the field, Thursday, February 26, road and bridge handling work has been carried out on the Karawang, Cikampek, Pamanukan sections, at the Cimalaya Bridge, specifically at KM 107.
As part of routine maintenance of national roads, the Ministry of PU has carried out road body repairs on the Cilamaya Bridge using the scraping and asphalt overlay method.
The effort to repair this road is expected to be able to reduce the risk of accidents due to damaged roads, as well as provide a sense of calm for millions of travelers who will travel long distances.
