4 Rutan Way Kanan Lampung Police Detainees Arrested, 4 Still at Large
Lampung - The Lampung Regional Police (Polda) said it had arrested four inmates who escaped from the Way Kanan Police detention center (rutan).
"Yesterday, another prisoner escaped from the Way Kanan Police detention center was caught. So now there are four escaped prisoners who have been caught," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol Yuni Iswandari, in Bandarlampung, Friday, quoted by Antara.
He said that one of the prisoners who was recaptured was named Darno, who was a repeat offender for theft. Darno was secured in Talang Kemis Village, Karya Jaya Village, Rebang Tangkas District, Way Kanan Regency.
"During the arrest process, the suspect actively resisted by trying to attack the officers with sharp weapons. The apparatus then took firm and measured action to immobilize the suspect according to the applicable procedures," he said.
According to him, with the arrest of Darno, there are still four more prisoners who are still being searched by the police. Where previously the police arrested three other prisoners, namely HE, S and SR.
"Currently, the police are still pursuing the other four prisoners who are still at large and tightening security in the detention room to prevent similar incidents from happening again," he said.
As is known, the escape of the eight prisoners occurred on Sunday, February 22, 2026, just before dawn. The prisoners reportedly escaped by breaking through the ceiling of the detention room.
The eight detainees are suspects in various criminal cases, ranging from theft to narcotics distribution.
