Jonathan Majors Joins New Film, First after 3 Years Case
JAKARTA - Actor Jonathan Majors is rumored to have joined a new film. This project marks his latest work in four years since he was found guilty in a case of assault on his ex-girlfriend.
He is rumored to star in a film made by Kyle Rankin of Bonfire Legend and the Daily Wire company. The film is also produced by Dallas Sonnier and Ben Shapiro.
The plot and its cast have not been revealed, but the story will focus on '80s and '90s action stories such as Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers that deal with teenagers who team up to fight an enemy.
Jonathan Majors is not the first actor to star in a project after his case and join the project from the Daily Wire. Previously, Armie Hammer starred in Frontier Crucible after his sex scandal and Gina Carano who joined Terror on the Prairie.
Majors was also rumored to star in Martin Villeneuve's Merciless but there has been no development since 2024.
Jonathan Majors became the center of controversy after being reported by his ex-girlfriend for assault. In 2023, Majors was found guilty of third-degree assault.
He did not serve any prison time but was ordered to complete a 52-week assault prevention program by a Manhattan criminal court. He was also ordered to continue mental health therapy.
After the case, Jonathan Majors was fired from his publicist and manager. He also quit several projects such as 48 Hours in Vegas and the Marvel character Kang.
