MBZ Emphasizes Commitment to Increase UAE Investment in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) directly conveyed his country's commitment to increasing investment in Indonesia.

This was stated by President MBZ in a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto which took place at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace, Abu Dhabi, Thursday, February 26 local time.

"The meeting discussed cooperation to increase investment. Bilateral is improved. UAE wants to increase its investment in Indonesia," said Teddy when confirmed by Antara from Jakarta, Friday, February 27.

Teddy conveyed that both President Prabowo and President MBZ agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and increase investment cooperation between the two countries.

Each leader discussed concrete steps to deepen the strategic partnership between Indonesia and PEA, especially in the investment and economic sectors.

This increased cooperation marks the bilateral relationship between the two countries, which have been known to be close and mutually beneficial.

Teddy said Indonesia is seen as a key strategic partner in Southeast Asia, especially in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and the development of the future economy.

President Prabowo welcomed this commitment and emphasized Indonesia's readiness to continue to strengthen a conducive and sustainable investment climate.

The Indonesian government also opens wider collaboration space for PEA investors in various national priority sectors.
