Rare and Prestigious, Seven Emirates Receive Prabowo at Qasr Al Bahr Palace

JAKARTA - The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) who is also the head of Abu Dhabi invited six other Emirati Rulers/leaders to accept President Prabowo Subianto at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Thursday, February 26 local time.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, when confirmed by Antara in Jakarta, Friday, February 27, said President Prabowo was given the honor of sitting with the seven leaders of the Emirates.

The meeting of the seven leaders of the Emirates should be held once a year.

The seven leaders are the Emir of Abu Dhabi, also the President of the PEA, the Emir of Dubai, also the Prime Minister of the PEA, as well as the Emir of Sharjah, the Emir of Ajman, the Emir of Umm Al Quwain, the Emir of Ras Al Khaimah, and the Emir of Fujairah.

The series of meetings continued with an iftar breaking the fast together, followed by performing the Maghrib prayer in congregation with the entourage.

As a conclusion, the two leaders had a one-on-one meeting (tête-à-tête) for more than an hour to discuss a number of strategic agendas, namely strengthening energy cooperation to future economic partnerships. PEA also wants increased investment in Indonesia.

This meeting confirmed the commitment of both countries in deepening mutually beneficial and long-term oriented collaboration.

The meeting between the two presidents has a special meaning because 2026 is the 50th anniversary of Indonesia's diplomatic relations with PEA.

Half a century of partnership has laid a solid foundation for the two countries to open a new chapter of broader, deeper and more impactful strategic cooperation for the welfare of the two peoples.

Also present to accompany President Prabowo were Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and the RI Ambassador to PEA Judha Nugraha.

Meanwhile, President MBZ was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Court Hamdan bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, the Advisor to the Presidential Court Mohamed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, the Advisor for Strategic Affairs Ahmed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, and the Ambassador of PEA to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al Dhaheri.
