Mensos: 869 Thousand PBI JKN Participants Have Returned to Active
JAKARTA - Social Minister (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf said that as many as 869 thousand participants of the National Health Insurance (JKN) Contribution Assistance (PBI) had been reactivated after it was previously announced that there were 11 million disabled beneficiaries.
"Of the approximately 11 million beneficiaries who were previously disabled, as many as 869 thousand have been reactivated through various schemes," said Saifullah Yusuf, who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 26.
The Minister of Social Affairs explained that there were various schemes for reactivating PBI JKN participants, namely through a reactivation application; transfer of funding to local governments, SOEs/SOEs, and the private sector; and transfer to the self-sufficient segment.
"A total of 132,507 beneficiaries have reactivated to PBI-JKN by applying for reactivation, and are currently in the process, while 405,965 beneficiaries are back in active status and funded by the local government through the regional PBI segment," said Gus Ipul.
Meanwhile, as many as 184,357 beneficiaries switched to the civil servant, SOEs, or BUMD segments because their status as civil servants or SOEs/BUMD employees.
"This figure is quite large and is one of the indicators that it has not been fully targeted," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
A total of 88 beneficiaries switched and were financed by private companies because the person concerned worked in a private company, while the other 147,046 beneficiaries switched to the self-sufficient segment, even some of them rose to class 2 and class 1.
"Most of them are actually on target, but there are still some that experience errors, and that's what we keep improving. Therefore, a reactivation mechanism is provided," he said.
Gus Ipul also stated that he had signed a policy regarding PBI beneficiaries that would apply for the next three months. Within three months, the policy will be socialized to beneficiaries.
"We recommend that those who are able to switch to the independent segment. However, for those who are not able, it will be reactivated through the JKN PBI," he said.
Regarding the indicators for determining the eligibility of PBI JKN membership, there are several things that are the basis, namely the statement from the head of the village, regent, or mayor stating that the person concerned indeed meets the requirements for receiving assistance, or adjustment with the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN).
"Including seeing the welfare desil, if you are in desil 1 to 5, then you are entitled to receive assistance," said the Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf.
