Sudden Urine Test, Wakapolres Ensures Tana Tidung Police Personnel Free from Drugs
TANA TIDUNG - Dozens of personnel from the Tana Tidung Police, North Kalimantan (Kaltara), underwent urine tests at the Police Headquarters.
The head of the Tana Tidung Police, Kompol Sonny Tandisau, said the inspection was carried out as an internal surveillance measure to ensure that its members were free from drug abuse.
"The activity took place after the morning bell at around 09.00-10.30 Wita with the involvement of Sipropam personnel and medical personnel," said Sonny, Thursday, February 26.
He revealed that the results of the examination showed that all personnel were negative for drugs.
"No members were found to have used prohibited substances, including amphetamines and methamphetamine," he said.
Sonny emphasized that urine tests were carried out to ensure that personnel remained disciplined and did not engage in drug abuse.
"We want to ensure that all members of the Tana Tidung Police are completely free from drugs. This is part of internal supervision as well as prevention efforts," said Sonny.
He added that this examination was not only once, but would be carried out regularly and suddenly to maintain the integrity and professionalism of members.
"This step is important so that public confidence in the National Police remains maintained and public service is not tarnished by the behavior of individuals," he said.
