Transformation and Digitization Recognized, PLN Engineering Wholesale Two ITAY 2026 Awards

JAKARTA - PT Prima Layanan Negara (PLN) Enjiniring won two awards in the Indonesia Top Achievements of the Year 2026 (ITAY) 2026 event. This state-owned company received the Excellence in Engineering Partnership for National Energy Infrastructure 2026 for the company category, as well as the Best Transformational Leader in Energy Engineering 2026 for the leadership category.

The ITAY jury panel assessed PLN Engineering as a strategic engineering partner in supporting the fulfillment of reliable and sustainable national electricity needs.

The assessment is based on the organization's transformation, which is carried out comprehensively, ranging from aligning the structure to be more agile and responsive to national strategic projects, to digitizing data-based engineering processes.

The transformation also includes strengthening the culture of collaborative and professional work, as well as improving human resource capacity through partnerships with educational institutions and industry partners.

PLN President Director Chairani Rachmatullah said this award was a validation of the changes being carried out by the company.

"This award is not just an acknowledgment, but a trust for us to continue to contribute to meeting national electricity needs. The transformation we have made touches the organizational structure, the way of working through digitization, and the strengthening of the company's culture. The most important thing is the development of people through capacity building and strategic partnerships, because we believe that superior talent is the main foundation for the success of transformation," said Chairani in his statement, Thursday, February 26.

One of the jury members, Martani Huseini, assessed that transformation in the energy sector requires strong leadership and adequate technical competence.

"Transformations in the energy sector require visionary leadership and strong engineering competence. PLN Engineering shows both in supporting national development," said Martani.

ITAY founder, Arief Hidayat Thamrin, added that the award was given to institutions that were able to show technical excellence as well as transformation power.

"This award is given to institutions that are not only technically superior, but also able to transform and have a real impact on Indonesia's energy sustainability," he said.

The ITAY 2026 award was determined through an independent selection and assessment process by a jury council. The assessment was based on five main criteria, namely achievements, innovation, transformation, core competencies, and contributions, with a proof-based approach and strategic impact on national development.
