NTB Police 'Show' Drugs and Cash Seized in the Case of Former Police Chief AKBP Didik
MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police showed evidence of methamphetamine and cash from the seizure of the AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro drug case.
The NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Edy Murbowo, said that the evidence was included in the list of drug cases revealed by the NTB Police and the ranks of the district/city police during the period from January to the third week of February 2026.
"In the disclosure from January to the third week of February 2026, the NTB Police Narcotics Reserse and Polres have uncovered 157 cases of narcotics with a total of 240 suspects," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 26.
The cash seized and presented at the press conference amounted to IDR 3 billion. A value of IDR 1 billion of which was also confirmed by the Director of Narcotics Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, from the seizure of the AKBP Didik drug case.
In addition to cash, various types of drug evidence were also displayed, ranging from dry marijuana, G-listed drugs, ecstasy, magic mushrooms, and 2.5 kilograms of methamphetamine.
From the 2.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, Roman confirmed that there was also evidence seized from the arrest of AKP Malaungi of 488 grams.
With the results of the disclosure, the NTB Police Chief gave appreciation to all members of the narcotics police in efforts to eradicate the circulation of this prohibited goods.
"Especially the eradication of drugs in the legal jurisdiction of the NTB Police, this action is the result of collaboration between all parties, stakeholders, and the community so that the legal handling of cases of drug abuse can run well," he said.
After releasing the results of the drug disclosure, the NTB Police Chief destroyed some of the evidence by using an incinerator burning machine.
"The destruction of this drug evidence is to give the public an impression that the National Police is committed to carrying out active action against the misuse and circulation of drugs in a proportional, transparent and accountable manner so that there is no room for storing and managing the evidence," said the NTB Police Chief.
