BRI Profit Down 5.26 Percent to Rp57.13 Trillion in 2025
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) recorded a net profit of IDR 57.13 trillion throughout 2025. This figure has decreased compared to the previous year's achievement which was recorded at IDR 60.3 trillion.
"Until the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, BRI managed to record a net profit of IDR 57.132 trillion," said BBRI President Director, Hery Gunardi, in an online press conference, Thursday, February 26.
Meanwhile, in terms of assets, the red plate bank recorded a total asset growth of 7.1 percent year-on-year to Rp. 2,135 trillion.
In terms of funding, BRI's Third Party Funds (DPK) also showed solid growth, driven by continued growth in cheap funds (CASA). However, total third-party funds grew 7.4 percent year-on-year to Rp1,467 trillion.
Hery said that the increasing share of cheap funds had a positive impact on BRI's Cost of Fund (CoF). It was recorded that the CoF of third-party funds at the end of 2025 was 2.9 percent or improved compared to the same period in 2024 of 3.1 percent.
In terms of intermediation, BRI's credit distribution grew 12.3 percent year-on-year to Rp1,521 trillion, with a focus on distribution to the MSME segment. This achievement was recorded higher than the national banking credit growth throughout 2025 which was recorded at 9.6 percent.
"The growth of BRI credit which reached double digits was able to be balanced with prudent distribution and healthy growth," continued Hery.
This is reflected in the NPL ratio of 3.07 percent as of the end of the fourth quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the company has also managed to reduce Loan at Risk (LaR) from the original 10.7 percent at the end of 2024 to 9.6 percent at the end of 2025.
"The improvement in BRI's fundamental performance has a positive impact on the company's profit achievement," he said.
