Germany Warns Citizens in Middle East of US Plans to Attack Iran
JAKARTA - The German Foreign Ministry has warned its citizens in the Middle East about the possible escalation of tensions between the United States and Iran.
The report of the Focus magazine, on Wednesday (25/2) conveyed that German citizens in Israel should not leave their homes if the airspace is closed due to an Iranian attack.
The ministry noted that if the airspace was closed, the Iranian embassy would not be able to fully provide assistance to German citizens.
The German Embassy in Tel Aviv recommended that German citizens in Israel download a mobile app that warns of the danger of missile attacks.
Amid the escalating security situation in the region, Germans are advised to stock up on supplies and find out the location of shelters, according to the report.
In addition, the German embassy in Beirut warned of possible flight restrictions and urged German citizens in Lebanon to take precautionary measures when traveling.
