Entering a New Chapter, Xiaomi and Leica Improve Flagship Photography Experience
JAKARTA - Since establishing a strategic partnership in 2022, Xiaomi and Leica have consistently set new standards in mobile photography from year to year.
Based on the philosophy of "Essential Leica Imagery", Xiaomi and Leica are now continuing their revolutionary collaboration by bringing the latest photography capabilities to the Xiaomi 17 Series.
"Previously, this partnership focused on the Joint R&D approach, now we are moving into the Strategic Co-creation Model which significantly increases Leica's involvement in the development of Xiaomi smartphones from upstream to downstream," said Andi Renreng, Marketing Director of Xiaomi Indonesia.
Andi emphasized that this step strengthens Xiaomi's commitment to providing a more consistent and integrated professional photography experience in their flagship product series.
This latest collaboration carries three main pillars, namely Essential Vision, Essential Tone, and Essential Optics.
In terms of Essential Vision, Leica's distinctive humanistic approach is presented to capture moments and emotions more authentically. The Xiaomi 17 Series is said to not only offer visual sharpness, but also the depth of the story behind each photo.
Meanwhile, through Essential Tone, the latest generation HDR system, the Xiaomi 17 Series camera can capture multiple exposure layers in milliseconds and combine them into one photo with balanced color composition.
Meanwhile, in terms of Essential Optics, the Xiaomi 17 Series is equipped with a camera system designed for various photography needs, ranging from portraits with bokeh effects, street photography, to landscapes.
The latest sensor and special optical configuration are claimed to be able to maintain image sharpness, natural color accuracy, and minimize noise in various zoom ranges and lighting conditions.
Through this collaboration, Xiaomi confirms its ambition to continue pushing the limits of mobile photography by combining technology and the art of photography in one flagship device.
