Former Indonesian Ambassador Requests Government Clarification on TNI Using Blue Helmets in Gaza

JAKARTA - Former Ambassador (Ambassador) of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States (US), Dino Patti Djalal, asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) of the Republic of Indonesia Sugiono to provide clarity regarding the mission of TNI soldiers in Gaza, Palestine.

According to him, the public needs to know what the TNI soldiers deployed to Gaza look like, such as the United Nations (UN) peacekeepers wearing blue berets and helmets.

"Mr. @Menlu_RI Sugiono, good, until now the public has not been able to clarify whether the Indonesian peacekeepers in Gaza will use BLUE HELMETS," Dino wrote on his X account, Wednesday, February 25.

The plan to send TNI soldiers to Gaza is through the mission of the Board of Peace (BoP) forum established by US President Donald Trump. The Indonesian government has committed to be able to send troops to Gaza reaching 8,000 soldiers.

Dino said it was also very important for the public to know that TNI soldiers who were sent to be peacekeepers in Gaza did not wear the blue characteristic.

"As usual, the Indonesian peacekeepers have been .. please be sure and explained .. it's a significant difference ..," said Dino.
