PLN Power Add Discount Opened Ahead of Ramadan, But There is a "Filter" Transaction on PLN Mobile

JAKARTA - Ahead of Ramadan 1447 H, when household electricity consumption usually jumps, PLN UID Jakarta Raya opened a 50% discount promo for power add-on fees via the PLN Mobile application. The "Ramadan Terang, Lebaran Tenang" program is valid from February 25 to March 10, 2026. However, the scheme is not automatic. Only new customers can take advantage of the discount after meeting the application usage requirements.

The promotion is aimed at low-voltage 1-phase customers of all tariff groups with an initial power of 450 VA to 5,500 VA who want to increase power to a maximum of 7,700 VA. PLN said this step is to help customers maintain electricity adequacy during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

"Through this power addition promo, we want to ensure that people can carry out Ramadan and celebrate Eid with comfort without worrying about power limitations. PLN continues to innovate by providing easy, fast, and affordable services through PLN Mobile," he said in a written statement received Wednesday, February 25.

Behind the narrative of ease, there is a "gateway" that must be passed. PLN states that customers receive an e-voucher discount after making a minimum of one transaction on PLN Mobile. This means that this promo also directs customers to actively transact on the application - not just apply for additional power.

PLN also emphasized that the implementation of the program still follows safety aspects and technical standards. The promotion cannot be combined with other cost reductions for connecting, and is valid according to the terms and conditions set.
