Difki Khalif and Prinsa Mandagie Bring Back the Breath of Galau If from Vierratale

JAKARTA - Difki Khalif and Prinsa Mandagie introduce their latest collaboration project by repacking one of the hits of the year "Seandainya".

The work that made Vierra (now Vierratale) famous was reborn with a more majestic and fresh arrangement without losing the melancholy essence that has stuck in the ears of listeners.

This project is the result of cooperation between Musica Studios and Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia - becoming a space for both singers to give a new breath to Kevin Aprilio's creation.

Prinsa Mandagie admitted that he had a strong emotional bond with this song, considering "Seandainya" is one of the songs that accompanied his growth.

"Many people grew up with this song, including me. The challenge is not just to bring it back, but how to make it feel fresh, still familiar, but have our own colors," said Prinsa in his statement, Wednesday, February 25.

In the creative process, Difki Khalif who has a background with the band brings a strong pop-rock energy. The combination of two different vocal characters requires both of them to undergo intensive workshops to find the right harmony.

The presence of Barsena Bestandhi as a vocal director is the key behind the unification of these two contrasting voices.

"We do have different vocal ranges, so the workshop helps us determine who sings which part so that it remains harmonious," said Difki.

The orchestra's touch inserted in the new arrangement gives a deeper emotional dimension compared to the original version which is thick with power pop nuances.

For Prinsa, adapting to the dynamics of this duet was a new experience that challenged and enriched his musical insights. The difference in their vocal characters is actually considered a major strength that makes this version feel unique.

"The challenge is not only to bring it back, but how to make it feel fresh, still familiar, but has its own color," said Prinsa.

For music lovers who want to reminisce with a modern packaging, "Seandainya" versions of Difki Khalif and Prinsa Mandagie can be heard on various digital music platforms (DSP).
