Trump: US enemies are scared, America is respected again by the world

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump said the United States was respected again in the world and "its enemies" were afraid.

In a state of the union address to the US Congress, Trump said the US economy was growing strongly and law enforcement was in a state of readiness.

"Our economy has never roared like it is now, and our enemies are terrified. Our military and police are so ready, and America is respected again, maybe not like before," Trump said in his state of the union address, as reported by Sputnik, Wednesday, February 25.

He also said the US would continue to make progress and called the current period the "golden age of America."

According to Trump, in less than five months the US will commemorate 250 years of independence on July 4, which he calls a historic milestone for the country's freedom and progress.

"You haven't seen anything yet. We're going to get better and better. This is the golden age of America," he said.
