Lily Collins to Play Audrey Hepburn in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' Remake

JAKARTA - Actress Lily Collins has been confirmed to play Audrey Hepburn in the latest film about the making of Breakfast at Tiffany's, the 1961 classic. The film is produced by Case Study Films, which Collins owns.

Through her Instagram account, Lily Collins wrote, "Almost 10 years in development and a lifetime of admiration for Audrey, I can share this news."

Alena Smith will work on the film from Sam Wasson's book titled Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany's and the Dawn of the Modern Woman. This book is the first book to tell the story of the film's making.

Besides Lily Collins, it is not yet known who will play Truman Capote, Edith Head, Blake Edwards and others.

The film Breakfast at Tiffany's tells the story of a woman who is in New York and meets her lover, but experiences betrayal until she decides to find an adult man to marry. The film received five Oscar nominations and won two of them.

This latest film will highlight the film-making process from production and behind the scenes with the characters and staff played by actors.

The film Breakfast at Tiffany's is also one of the films in the National Film Registry, a list of films considered to be part of cultural change in 2012.

This film is Lily Collins' latest project after being confirmed to star in the film adaptation of Polly Pocket, which she also produced.
