GAC Indonesia Wins Thousands of SPK at IIMS, This is the Most Popular Model
JAKARTA - GAC Indonesia achieved brilliant results at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), with thousands of Vehicle Order Letters (SPK) during the 10-day exhibition at JIExpo Kemanyoran.
The Chinese brand managed to record a total of 2,095 units. This record shows the high enthusiasm of Indonesian consumers for GAC's modern electric vehicle and SUV line.
During the exhibition, GAC Indonesia recorded a strong dominance of Aion UT, which contributed 997 SPK units. The Aion UT Premium type became the best-selling variant thanks to its compact design, modern features, and competitive battery efficiency.
Not only that, Aion V also boosted reservations at IIMS, with a total of 552 units, mainly from the V Luxury type. Meanwhile, Hyptec HT managed to win the Best EV Long Range award.
GAC Indonesia CEO, Andry Ciu, expressed his appreciation for all consumers who have given an extraordinary response during IIMS 2026.
"The dominance of Aion UT and the strong interest in Hyptec HT show that the Indonesian market is maturing and ready to accept electric vehicles with cutting-edge technology," he said in an official statement received, Tuesday, February 25.
Aion UT is a major magnet thanks to its 60 kWh battery capacity that produces a range of up to 500 km (NEDC). This electric hatchback is offered at a promotional price starting at IDR 280 million (OTR Jakarta) during the IIMS 2026 event.
Hyptec HT as a Premium electric SUV has an 83 kWh battery and has a range of up to 620 km (NEDC). Equipped with AdiGO technology and modern safety features, when IIMS is offered, this car starts at Rp. 616 million (OTR Jakarta). This model strengthens GAC's position in the long-distance electric SUV segment.
GAC's participation in IIMS 2026 not only showcases products, but also demonstrates its commitment to supporting the EV ecosystem in Indonesia. All models are designed with global standards that combine advanced battery technology, high efficiency, modern safety systems and smart connectivity features.
