DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Opens Free Eid 2026 for Non-KTP DKI Residents
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government opens the opportunity for residents outside Jakarta to participate in the 2026 Free Eid Homecoming Program. Registration for this program has been open since February 22, 2026 and is carried out online.
Head of the Road Transport Section of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office, Emanuel Kristanto, said that homecoming participants were still prioritized for DKI Jakarta KTP owners. However, the Provincial Government did not close the door for people with non-DKI KTP to participate.
"Priority is given to DKI KTP. But we do not rule out the possibility that if there are people who have non-DKI KTP, we will still serve them," said Emanuel in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 25.
He explained that registration was carried out through the official mudikgratis.jakarta.go.id website by attaching an ID card and family card (KK). In one KK, registration is limited to a maximum of four participants.
To avoid the accumulation of applicants as in previous years, the DKI Dishub divided the registration and verification into three clusters based on the purpose of homecoming.
The first cluster includes destinations in Solo, Tasikmalaya, Palembang, Madiun, Sragen, and Cilacap. Registration for this cluster is open from February 22-24, 2026, with a verification schedule of February 25-27, 2026.
The second cluster includes the destinations of Yogyakarta, Kuningan, Lampung, Tegal, Kebumen, Jombang, and Pekalongan. Registration is carried out on February 25-27, 2026, while verification is on February 28-March 2, 2026.
Meanwhile, the third cluster serves the destinations of Wonogiri, Kediri, Malang, Wonosobo, Purwokerto, Semarang, and Sidoarjo. Registration is open from February 28 to March 2, 2026, with verification on March 3-5, 2026.
"After the verification process is completed, it will be followed by departure. For bus passengers, departure will be made at Monas on March 17, 2026. Meanwhile, the delivery of motorcycles will be dispatched from Pulogadung Terminal on March 16, 2026," said Emanuel.
This year, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared 366 units of buses for the homecoming flow, an increase from 2025 which only had 293 buses. For the return flow, 295 buses from 20 destination areas with a total quota of 11,800 passengers are provided, also an increase from the previous year of 228 buses.
Through this Free Homecoming program, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government hopes to provide safe and comfortable transportation services for the community, while reducing traffic congestion and the risk of accidents during the Lebaran homecoming period.
