4 Years of Russian Invasion of Ukraine, Kremlin: War Continues Until Goal is Achieved

JAKARTA - Russia said the war would continue in Ukraine until its goals were achieved.

This was emphasized by the Kremlin marking the fourth year of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine since February 24, 2022.

Quoting Al Jazeera, Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the following is the Kremlin statement:

- The purpose of the special military operation has not been achieved and will continue.

- There is no definite date for the next round of talks with Ukraine.

- After the West intervened to support Ukraine, the conflict has become a much larger confrontation with those who want to destroy our country.

The Kremlin statement came after NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said Ukraine needed military assistance 'until the bloodshed stops' on the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Rutte delivered it at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, Tuesday, February 24.
