Police Say Perpetrators of the Persecution of 3 SPBU Cipinang Employees Are Not Police Officers
JAKARTA - The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Dicky Fertoffan, confirmed that his party had obtained the identity of the perpetrator of the abuse of the Cipinang gas station employee, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.
"We are still pursuing the perpetrator of the persecution. His identity is known," said AKBP Dicky when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Later it was found out that the perpetrator was a civilian, not a member of the National Police, as was circulating on social media and others.
"The perpetrator is being chased by the criminal investigation unit, the perpetrator has been identified. This is what we are chasing (civilian perpetrators are not members of the police)," he said.
Previously, three operators of the 3413901 Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) in Cipinang, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, were victims of persecution by a man claiming to be a policeman.
"Yes, there are three victims of our employees who are suspected of being abused by the officers," said one of the staff of SPBU 3413901, Mukhlisin (38).
Mukhlisin said there were a total of three victims in the incident, namely one staff and two operators. They are Ahmad Khoirul Anam, who has worked for about five years as a staff, Lukmanul Hakim, an operator who has only been working for six months after graduating from SMK and Abud Mahmudin, an operator with a working period of about four years.
According to Mukhlisin, the persecution incident occurred on Sunday, February 22 evening. Around 22.00 WIB, the perpetrator came to fill Pertalite.
