3 SPBU Pertamina Employees Abused by People Claiming to be Members because they Refused to Fill Alphard with Pertalite

JAKARTA - Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, emphasized that his party was still investigating the alleged case of abuse against three SPBU employees in Cipinang, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

Budi said the East Jakarta Metro Police together with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Metro Jaya Police were still investigating the incident, including the figure of the perpetrator who claimed to be an officer.

"The Jaktim Police and the PMJ Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and the person who claimed to be an officer," he said in his statement, Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Radjo Alriadi Harahap, said his party also intervened.

"We are still investigating with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jakarta Police regarding the perpetrators of the beating," he said when confirmed.

According to him, the presence of Propam is aimed at ensuring whether the person concerned is a member or just pretending.

"That's right (to ensure the perpetrator's confession)," he said.

The incident of persecution against three SPBU employees in Cipinang Muara, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, began with the refusal to fill Pertamina type fuel, namely Pertalite, due to barcode incompatibility. However, the perpetrator who claimed to be an officer was suspected of committing persecution on Sunday, February 22, 2026, around 22.00 WIB.

One of the victims, Lukman Hakim (19), recounted the incident that befell him and two of his colleagues. The incident began when an Alphard car came to fill Pertalite. However, when the scan was performed, the barcode shown did not match the type of vehicle.

"The label is the same, but the car is on a different barcode. If we follow Pertamina's SOP, even though the label is the same but the barcode is different, we can't fill it," said Lukman.

According to Lukman, the rejection triggered the perpetrator's emotions. The perpetrator was angry and questioned the operator's decision. The situation heated up when other staff tried to explain. One employee was even pushed to hit the perpetrator's car. The commotion continued until there was a push and beating.

Lukman added, after his colleague was beaten, the perpetrator returned to the filling area and committed violence against other victims, including Abud Mahmudin (28), who suffered serious injuries. Lukman was also chased to the back of the employee mess.

Upon arriving at the mess, Lukman was advised by local residents to report to the police station. He said the perpetrator several times claimed to have a high position and used the term "general barcode" when arguing with the operator. This made the employees choose not to fight because they were afraid the perpetrator was carrying a weapon.

"He said, 'Do you know this is a general's barcode?' He said it many times. We were also afraid," said Lukman.

Meanwhile, Abud Mahmudin admitted that he did not know the exact cause of the commotion. At that time, he only intended to see the situation when he heard the noise in the fuel filling area. Although he did not speak, he was appointed and beaten by the perpetrator.

"I don't know how it started. The intention is just to know, like kepo because there is a commotion. His name is also in the work environment," he said.

Abud said the first blow hit the eye area, making him dizzy. Not long after, the perpetrator approached again and hit the cheek and back of the ear. As a result of the blow, his teeth broke and blood came out.

"My teeth are broken so half, not even, bleeding because the nerve is hit. Even now it's hard to eat, even talking is still painful," he said.

The same thing was conveyed by the gas station staff, Mukhlisin (38). He said that the victims in the incident numbered three people, namely Ahmad Khoirul Anam, Lukman Hakim, and Abud Mahmudin.

"Ahmad Khoirul Anam was slapped on the cheek until his shirt was torn during the push-and-shove action," explained Mukhlisin.

Mukhlisin added that Lukman Hakim was hit in the right jaw. Meanwhile, Abud Mahmudin was hit under the eye and cheek near the mouth, causing his teeth to break. The three of them then reported to the authorities and underwent a visa at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

"Currently, the three of them are still in shock and are temporarily resting from work. The perpetrator immediately left the location without filling up the fuel," concluded Mukhlisin.
