Touching the Realm of Privacy, Boiyen Party Keeps Mouth Closed About Divorce
JAKARTA - The continuation of the divorce trial of comedian Boiyen and Rully Anggi Akbar was held again behind closed doors. At this trial, only Boiyen's lawyer, Anselmus Mallofiks, was present at the trial.
After the trial, Anselmus chose to 'keep his mouth shut' and did not provide any details about the ongoing process.
"We can't tell in detail about the legal process of Mbak Boyen's divorce," said Anselmus at the Tigaraksa Religious Court, Tuesday, February 24.
He has consistently refused to answer questions relating to the contents of his client's divorce. The main reason he gave was to protect his client's privacy.
"Because there are indeed areas of privacy that we cannot reveal publicly," he said.
"And we have to respect this legal process," he continued.
The attitude of covering up the divorce of his client will be carried out by Anselmus to the hammer of the judge later.
"Yes, of course," replied Anselmus.
In fact, when asked if the request not to expose this matter came directly from Boiyen, he again gave a diplomatic answer.
"Yes, because this is a private sphere. I can't continue anymore," he said.
He also appealed for all parties to respect this decision. For him, divorce is a very personal problem.
"Yes, if for the divorce process, we know, this is the realm of people's privacy, a very personal realm actually," he explained.
