Not Wanting Hakimi to be the Driver, Pramono Also Blamed the Transjakarta Bus Operator After the Accident
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung ensures that sanctions will not only be imposed on bus drivers in an accident involving two Transjakarta buses in Corridor 13 on the Puri Beta-Tegal Mampang route on Monday, February 23.
The operator of the Transjakarta bus that hit another Transjakarta bus, namely BMP 220263 with the operator PT Bianglala Metropolitan. Meanwhile, the bus that was hit was code MYS 17100.
According to Pramono, in addition to Transjakarta, the training of drivers is also the responsibility of the operator, so it is not fair if all the mistakes are blamed on the driver alone.
"The most important thing is that we have ordered TransJakarta, the operator must also be sanctioned, reprimanded for that. Not only the driver who is sanctioned, because the operator who nurtured it must be responsible," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 24.
Regarding the cause of the accident, Pramono said the incident was triggered by human negligence or human error. The driver of the Transjakarta bus named Yayan allegedly experienced microsleep while driving.
"The collision incident yesterday in Cipulir towards JORR, it was indeed because Pak Yayan was asleep. So sleepy, and the police have conveyed what is the term microsleep. It happened to the driver," said Pramono.
Based on a report from the Transjakarta party, Pramono revealed that the driver named Yayan, this morning was indeed in a sleepy state due to working with long sif, or two consecutive days.
"Then cross the lane, collide. Well, this kind of thing is certainly human error," continued Pramono.
For information, two TransJakarta buses were involved in a bullfight accident in Corridor 13, Kebayoran-Cipulir section on Monday morning at around 07.15 WIB. As a result of the incident, 23 passengers were injured.
On Monday, February 23 afternoon, all the victims were said to have completed their treatment at the hospital and were allowed to go home. Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident.
"PT Transjakarta confirms that there were no casualties in this incident. A total of 23 customers were reported to have minor injuries and have been evacuated to Sari Asih Ciledug Hospital and Bhakti Asih Hospital, all of whom have returned from the hospital," said Ayu in his statement, Monday, February 23.
Meanwhile, the two drivers involved in the incident were reported to be in good condition. As a form of responsibility, Transjakarta ensures that all medical expenses for the victims are borne by the company together with its operator partners.
"The process of evacuating the bus unit involved, has been completed at 10.50 WIB. All evacuation procedures are carried out by prioritizing occupational safety standards and strict security by officers," said Ayu.
Regarding the legal process, Transjakarta handed over its handling to the police. This case is now being handled by the Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation.
