Playing in the Rain Leads to Disaster, 4-Year-Old Boy in East Lombok Still Being Searched for SAR
East Lombok - The Mataram SAR Office through the Kayangan SAR Post carried out a search operation for a four-year-old child who was reported to have been swept away in the drain in front of SDN 1 Selong, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Tuesday, February 24.
Kayangan SAR Post Coordinator, M. Darwis, said the initial information was received from the East Lombok SAR Unit. The victim was known as M. Azril Filah Busairi (4), a resident of Karang Sukun Neighborhood, Selong Village, East Lombok.
"The victim was allegedly dragged by the current while playing in the rain on the edge of the drain in front of SDN 1 Selong," said Darwis in East Lombok, Antara, Tuesday, February 24.
The report of the incident was received at 09.10 WITA. The joint SAR team was then dispatched to the location at 10.49 WITA and immediately coordinated with the relevant elements.
The search operation was carried out with a sifting method along the drainage flow and monitoring at a number of points that could potentially be the location where the victim was stuck.
"Until now, the victim is still in the search status and SAR operations are being carried out as much as possible by the joint SAR team," he said.
