WhatsApp Develops Feature to Send Messages Scheduled
JAKARTA - WhatsApp has finally developed a feature that many users are looking forward to. The messaging platform from Meta is developing a feature to send messages on schedule.
This feature was first discovered by WABetaInfo in the WhatsApp beta version through the latest TestFlight. This feature is already visible in the application system in the form of code, but is still in the internal development stage.
The screenshot shared by WABetaInfo shows that Scheduled Messages will be placed in the Group Info tab. The feature is right below the starred media and message options to make it easier for users to access.
WhatsApp seems to be deliberately developing this feature to chase its competitors. Telegram, a strong competitor of the platform, has been offering a scheduled message sending feature for a long time. In fact, this feature is already owned by iMessage.
This feature is much expected because WhatsApp is often used as a means of communication in the world of work. If users have to send a message at a predetermined time, they no longer need to wait manually.
This feature will make it easier to send messages in the future. Although it is visible in the code base, it is not known whether WhatsApp will include an option to automatically send messages repeatedly.
This feature can be found in Telegram and is very useful for users who need regular reminders for work. For now, we just have to wait for the feature to be tested by the developers until it is available in the stable version.
