Winona Ryder Reunites with Jenna Ortega, Officially Joins "Wednesday 3"

JAKARTA - Winona Ryder has officially joined the latest season of the series Wednesday. This series from the world of Tim Burton will bring Ryder together with Jenna Ortega after the film Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

In addition to Winona Ryder, several confirmed cast members are Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer. Previously, actress Eva Green was announced as the new cast member as Ophelia, Morticia Addams' sister.

"It's an excitement to reopen the gates of Nevermore Academy and start production on season three. We are grateful to the cast and crew who have always been committed to this dark series," executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar said in a statement.

The creators did not reveal what role Winona Ryder would play. In the film Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Ortega played Ryder's son.

The main cast, such as Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), and Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), will also return along with a number of other actors.

"In this new season, we welcome new students and teachers, and explore the long-buried secrets of the Addams Family. Get ready for it," they said again.

"I'm really excited to start season three and it's fun to be back with the whole cast. The additional cast of actors who are good friends and who have worked with me, like Eva, Chris, and Noah, make this season even more special. I feel very lucky," said Tim Burton.

This role also marks Winona Ryder's return to Netflix production after playing the series Stranger Things for six seasons.

Season two of the Wednesday series was released in August 2025 and became the most watched British series of all time on Netflix.
