Not Only Release Songs, I.O.I Will Reunite for Tour and New Album
JAKARTA - I.O.I will reunite to celebrate their 10th debut. SWING Entertainment agency stated this news after various issues circulated since last year.
"I.O.I confirmed their comeback in May. They are preparing a new album," SWING Entertainment said on Monday, February 23.
Even though the members are under different agencies, their activities with I.O.I will be fully managed by SWING Entertainment.
I.O.I was the first project group from the Produce 101 show in May 2026. The group consists of 11 members who were selected from 11 participants with the most support.
The members of I.O.I are Jeon Somi, Kim Se Jeong, Choi Yoojung, Chungha, Kim So Hye, Zhou Jie Qiong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Kang Mina, Lim Nayoung, and Yeonjung. They promoted for 8 months and disbanded in January 2017.
In the midst of this reunion news, Kang Mina and the agency stated that they could not participate in the promotional series due to schedules that could not be fulfilled. In addition to Kang Mina, Zhou Jie Qiong was also absent from this comeback, indicating that the reunion would be filled with 9 members.
In addition to releasing an album, I.O.I also plans to hold a concert in Seoul and an Asian tour in several countries. The agency has not revealed what concept the group will use.
Currently, the members of I.O.I are spreading their wings into various fields. Jeon Somi, Kim Se Jeong, Chungha, and Yeonjung became singers.
Other members Choi Yoojung, Kim So Hye, Zhou Jie Qiong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Kang Mina, Lim Nayoung and Sejeong are active as actresses.
