Irwansyah admits he was shocked to see Zaskia Sungkar's childbirth process

JAKARTA - Irwansyah tells about the moment he accompanied his wife, Zaskia Sungkar, when giving birth to their second child, Urwah Muhammad Syahki.

Irwansyah did not deny that he had experienced panic when he saw the birth process of his second child.

"Yes, panic. If it's about panic, I've been panicking since the beginning, I've been panicking since Ukkasya," said Irwansyah in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 23.

"It's just that this is a panic because I really saw from below, the baby was below when he was about to be born, the baby was below if... if it was below, yes? Then from the baby I saw like this, 'Oh My God' gitu lho. I mean, the cesarean is still... yes, it's still a mess (laughs). I'm confused how it will be," he continued.

Not only that, Irwansyah was confused about having to ensure the condition of his wife or newborn son even though he had experience with his first child before.

"So I asked, 'eh I have to go to his mother or his son?' Even though I was at Ukkasya, I was told that I had to go to my son first, all kinds of blablabla like that. But I went to his mother or his son? 'Yes to his son!' 'But... but...' because I panicked when I saw... saw Kia like that," continued Irwansyah.

"Until I got to his son, I continued... what did I do? Cut the umbilical cord, then I went to Kia again. 'Is it okay?' While asking like that, 'Well, is it okay? Is it really Kia... not shivering?' 'No, it's not', "he said.

The reason is that at the birth of their first child, Ukkasya, Zaskia had a condition of shivering after giving birth which was quite dangerous for the mother's safety.

"So the difference between this operation and Ukkasya, when Ukkasya was Kia was shivering. Well, it turns out that the shivering was also dangerous for his mother. Well, that's why I was like that to Kia, 'shivering? shivering?'. Yes, that's what made me panic," said Irwansyah.

Fortunately, he was able to overcome the panic moment with the support of his family and the hospital which helped the birth procession of Shireen Sungkar's older brother.

"But thank God, everything there makes me calm, like starting from the doctor and the nurse. Thank God," he concluded.
