The cause of the congestion of the Transjakarta Corridor 13, two buses collided
JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta is still conducting in-depth investigations regarding the accident involving two buses in Corridor 13 Puri Beta-Petukangan route, specifically on the Swadarma Road section towards Cipulir, South Jakarta, on Monday, February 23.
Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, said that until now the cause of the incident involving BMP 263 and MYS 17100 bus operators was still in the process of being deepened.
"The cause of the incident is in the process of in-depth investigation. Transjakarta is fully committed to handling this situation quickly and professionally for the safety of all customers," said Ayu in a statement in Jakarta, Monday morning.
Ayu emphasized that the company's main focus at this time is to ensure the safety of all passengers. Based on initial information, the accident resulted in damage to the bus and a number of passengers were lightly injured.
"Officers have carried out a quick evacuation to the nearest bus stop, and customers who have minor injuries have been treated," he said.
In addition to accidents, the 13 Corridor service also experienced significant delays due to vehicle density in the Puri Beta 2 area to around the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR). This condition has an impact on several routes, including 13B and L13E.
Due to the density, the travel time from Puri Beta 2 to Petukangan, which is usually around seven minutes, increased sharply to reach 39 minutes during the morning rush hour.
This situation also caused the accumulation and queue of passengers at a number of stops to be more crowded than normal.
Not only the large bus fleet, the Mikrotrans service on the JAK107 route (Garden Bridge - Puri Beta) was also reported to have experienced significant delays due to the same traffic conditions.
Transjakarta appeals to customers to continue to monitor the latest information through the company's official channels and apologizes for the inconvenience.
