From 7 Minutes to 39 Minutes, Transjakarta Corridor 13 Passengers Stuck in Traffic
JAKARTA - Transjakarta services in Corridor 13 experienced a significant delay during rush hour Monday morning. The density of vehicles in the Puri Beta 2 area to around JORR made the travel time jump drastically.
Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, said the disruption occurred on a number of routes in Corridor 13.
"Because of the density of vehicles in Beta 2 and around the Jorr, the services of Corridor 13 (13, 13B, L13E, and Jak 107) experienced significant delays," said Ayu in his statement, Monday, February 23.
As a result of this condition, the travel time from Puri Beta 2 to Petukangan, which is usually around 7 minutes, increased sharply.
"This resulted in the travel time from Puri Beta 2 to Petukangan, which is usually only 7 minutes, has increased drastically to 39 minutes, during the morning rush hour," he said.
The surge in travel time has an impact on passenger queues at the stop. The accumulation of customers occurs because the arrival of the fleet is not in accordance with the normal schedule.
"This situation caused the accumulation and queue of customers at the bus stop to be more crowded than usual," said Ayu.
Transjakarta apologized for the service disruption that occurred earlier this week. Passengers are asked to monitor information developments through the company's official channels.
"We apologize for the inconvenience experienced by customers on this morning's journey. Please be patient and always update service information through the TJ: Transjakarta application and Transjakarta's official social media," he said.
