Jabodetabek Weather Monday: Morning Clear, Day to Night Potential Rain

JAKARTA - The weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Monday, February 23, is expected to vary with the potential for rain during the day and night.

Based on the forecast of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), most areas will start the day with cloudy to sunny conditions.

In the morning, the weather in DKI Jakarta is expected to be sunny to cloudy. Entering the afternoon and evening, light rain is likely to fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, while Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, and North Jakarta are expected to be cloudy to cloudy.

"At night, light rain is still likely to occur in a number of areas," wrote the BMKG, Monday morning.

The Bogor area, both the city and the regency, is predicted to experience moderate to heavy rain in the afternoon. This condition is potentially accompanied by lightning or lightning and strong winds in a short duration.

"Depok and Bekasi are expected to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon or evening after cloudy conditions in the morning,"

Meanwhile, the Tangerang and South Tangerang areas also have the opportunity to be hit by light rain in the afternoon to evening. The air temperature in the Jabodetabek area ranges from 23 to 32 degrees Celsius with a relatively high air humidity level, namely around 65 to 95 percent.

BMKG urges the public to remain vigilant against the potential of rain that may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds, especially in the afternoon and evening. Residents are also reminded to be careful when driving and anticipate the possibility of flooding in flood-prone areas.
